Gimnasio Santana Del Norte is an educative institution in which the principal driving force is the whole children development, understanding the education as a synonym of formation, not only in the intellectual, physical and moral development but in the affective and emotional capacities.

SERVICES

HOMEWORK TUTORS: bilingual teachers deal the children to do their homework and reinforce in any subject they have difficulties. This service is not only for students of our school but for students from other schools.

ASESORIA DE TAREAS: esta asesoria es dirigida por profesoras bilingües, quien no solo guían al niño en la realización de sus tareas sino que a su vez realizan ejercicios de refuerzo en las asignaturas en las que el niño presenta dificultad. Este servicio se presta a los niños del jardín y de otros colegios.

VACATIONAL COURSES: the school never close. We have vocational courses during the holidays on June-July and December-January. Special activities are prepared for the children. You can choose the journey and take the course by days or by weeks; it depends on your needs.

· BALLET CLASSES: these classes are deal by a professional teacher in a comfortable room. The girls enjoy their ballet lessons. Theses are too important in the motor children development and help them in the corporal expression skill.

FASHION SHOW

One of the most important activities in our kindergarten is the fashion show. It's the one where each classroom chooses a topic to represent in a whole celebration of the family day. This year was called "a trip around the world". It was so good to see our children dressed up with all typical clothes from different countries around the world. Also they made a presentation about their typical dances.

CHILDREN´S DAY

Disguises, candies, music, clowns and more to celebrate this wonderful day. But not only the children dress up as the most famous and cute heroes also the teachers and all the staff become infants and put on the best disguise to enjoy ones of the most important day for them.

PARENTS' WORKSHOPS

Taking into account the team work between parents and teachers in the intellectual and moral education of our children, during the year we organized a parents´ workshop. On 2004 this activity took place in the Montessori's theatre and was led by Jorge Duque Linares. With an excellent topic " the importance of family"

LUDICS

The ludics were created in order to satisfy the students' needs and interests. In this way the can develop their artistic abilities in music, dance and chant.

We have specialized room for each ludic, with all the necessary materials and spaces giving as a result an appropriate and comfortable environment for the class.
